Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world. The KPMG Calgary Office services team has an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated Barista to join the team.
What You Will Do
• Greet employees and customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Inform people by introducing and explaining the coffee menu and answering questions.
• Prepare coffees following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.
• Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, coffee‑making equipment, and coffee bar supplies.
• Keep equipment functional by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to the organization’s health standards and regulations.
• Assist the conference center staff if needed.
What You Bring To

The Role
• Knowledge/experience in a coffee‑shop environment, understanding different coffee drinks and brewing methods.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Self‑motivated and resourceful.
• Ability to contribute ideas to improve the service offering.
• Work weekdays only; weekends off.
