Job Description

You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.

What you will be doing:
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Take orders and deliver food & beverage items in a prompt manner
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items and offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods, in order to assist with menu selections and various dietary requirements in an informative and helpful way
• Maintain accurate guest checks/folios and utilize upsell opportunities when possible
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageQualifications

Your experience and skills include:
• Previous bartending experience, minimum 1 year, and previous food & beverage service experience in a similar setting is required
• Valid Alberta Pro Serve certification is required
• Mixology knowledge and skills preferred
• Previous point of sale system experiences an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proven organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable with excellent knowledge of all beverage products
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timeAdditional Information
