Catering Sales Manager

Overview
Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre Calgary Airport is seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing a team, coordinating food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across various events and functions. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly desirable, along with a background in food handling and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise catering staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to ensure efficient service delivery
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and client specifications
• Manage daily operations of catering services, including event setup, execution, and breakdown
• Coordinate with clients to customize menus and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Ensure all team members comply with health regulations and safety protocols
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with other departments such as kitchen staff, servers, and event planners to ensure seamless operations

Requirements
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of sales experience preferably in hospitality.
• Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle client inquiries effectively
• Background in food handling, kitchen operations, or the food industry preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous hotel or restaurant experience is highly advantageous; barista experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interview and train staff effectively
