As CEO, this role is about steering the company through the constantly changing landscape of the oil and gas sector. The CEO leads the organization in developing strategic plans, driving operational excellence, and building a company culture that prizes safety, innovation, and integrity. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.Lead the company’s vision and strategy—guiding the team to identify and capitalize on new opportunities while keeping core operations strong and safe.Oversee daily operations, ensuring that exploration, production, and distribution activities run efficiently and safely, always complying with industry regulations.Shape company culture by developing and inspiring a talented team—creating an environment where people thrive and are accountable for results.Manage resources and budgets prudently; ensure the company remains profitable and financially resilient in both good and challenging market conditions.Build meaningful relationships with partners, government agencies, clients, suppliers, and the local communities where the company operates.Represent the company externally, acting as the public face and communicating the firm’s values, strategy, and performance honestly and effectively.Stay ahead of industry trends—quickly adapting company strategy to shifting regulations, market dynamics, and technological advances.Take responsibility for managing risks—including environmental, safety, operational, and reputational risks.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards, emphasizing health, safety, and environmental sustainability. Minimum 20 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; previous experience as CEO or Managing Director a plus.Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Earth Sciences, Business Administration, Energy Management, or Allied Engineering preferred.A proven track record in leading organizations through industry changes, delivering on strategic and financial goals, and fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and accountability.Deep understanding of the technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of the oil and gas business.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; able to inspire confidence and trust.
