Compensation: £11,359 per annum (£23,650 pro‑rata)

To provide an efficient cleaning service to the College that meets the ongoing requirements of the organisation. To diligently undertake, individually or as part of a team, the cleaning of premises to the specified standards and room specifications in order to deliver a clean and hygienic working and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, learners and visitors.
• Create and maintain a robust cleaning regime to sustain high standards in the designated area.
• Foster a positive and efficient working environment by promoting teamwork, communication and mutual respect.
• Perform cleaning duties in a professional and efficient manner, delivering expected standards within the allocated time frame on a regular basis.
• Support team members to meet cleaning specifications, particularly when covering absences.
• Use cleaning resources, consumables and equipment with due care, emphasizing efficient use.
• Maintain designated storage and refuse areas in a tidy, clean and well‑organised condition.
• Undertake visual inspections of machinery and equipment prior to use daily.
• Familiarise with all relevant risk assessments, health and safety procedures and cleaning policies.
• Adhere to regulations and policies related to health and safety, COSHH and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Report hazards and defects to the supervisor in line with college guidance.
• Promote the college’s sustainability policy.
• Continuously develop and improve professional knowledge.
• Carry out any other duties of a similar responsibility level as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualifications
• Essential: Good standard of Education
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 Cleaning and Support Services Skills
Experience
• Occupational competence and 1 year experience in a cleaning or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes and materials.
• Ability to clean to a high standard.
• Familiarity with use of toxic materials.
IT Skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
