Job Summary

This Construction Disputes Lawyer role focuses on handling complex construction disputes, advising varied clients, and working closely with an expert national legal team to deliver high-level solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of contentious construction matters, including final account claims, defects, and PFI/project disputes.

• Manage complex, high-value cases for clients such as local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, and private sector entities.

• Work on significant disputes, including PFI project disputes, compensation event claims, and defective construction matters, with recent examples such as multi-million-pound adjudications and Court of Appeal victories.

• Collaborate with a national team of construction law experts, receiving mentorship and support from senior team members.

• Gain exposure to key players in the construction industry, including developers, contractors, funders, and public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Be qualified in England & Wales with 2-6 years’ PQE, ideally having experience in construction disputes. Strong commercial litigation backgrounds will also be considered.

• Demonstrate excellent drafting and legal analysis skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.

• Have a client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Be eager to take on challenging work and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

• PFI experience is desirable but not essential.
