Content Editing Specialist (Entry Level)

We are currently offering an exciting on-site internship opportunity for a Junior Video Editor based in Kandy. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about video production and wants to gain real-world experience in a supportive and creative environment. As a Junior Video Editor, you’ll assist in putting together video content for various projects, helping bring ideas to life through thoughtful editing and visual storytelling. You’ll be working closely with our creative team, learning how to refine raw footage, color grade scenes for the right look and feel, and add motion graphics to make the final product shine. It’s a hands-on role that will give you a great foundation in video editing while also allowing you to contribute creatively.
Your daily tasks will vary, which helps keep things interesting. One day you might be working on trimming down hours of footage into a short, polished piece, and the next you could be adding animated graphics to explain a concept or enhance a presentation. You’ll need to have a good eye for detail, a sense of what looks good on screen, and the ability to take feedback and make improvements. Being a good communicator is also important, as you’ll be collaborating with different team members to make sure the final videos stay true to our brand and message. Whether you’re adjusting lighting in post-production or syncing up sound, every task you take on will help strengthen your skills and build confidence in your abilities.
To succeed in this role, it helps to have some experience or education in multimedia, film production, or a related field. You should be comfortable using video editing software and have a basic understanding of color grading and motion graphics. Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are just as important as technical skills.
