Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Drivers/Car Carrier Drivers to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including car carriers, flatbeds, low bed trailers, and other heavy goods vehicles. The role involves transporting heavy equipment and goods across various locations throughout the UAE. Additionally, you will assist in moving light vehicles at AFL locations.
• Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties: Operate heavy-duty trucks and car carriers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods and equipment.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading cargo from vehicles.
• Communication: Maintain regular contact with the Planning office for instructions, dispatch updates, and delivery status reports.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure optimal condition and performance.
• Documentation: Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including trip sheets, fuel receipts, and other relevant reports.
• Fuel Efficiency: Ensure economical fuel consumption during operations.
• Support: Provide assistance in driving light cargo vehicles when required.
• Required Skills for Success
• Driving License: Possess a UAE driving license for categories 3 and 4.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience operating heavy-duty vehicles, including car carriers, side curtain trailers, flatbeds, low beds, side loaders, or similar heavy goods vehicles.
• Instruction Adherence: Ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures accurately.
• Work Environment: Willingness to work in a large yard located in Kizad, Abu Dhabi.

Team Dynamics
• Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Work Setting: You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications
• License: A valid UAE heavy-duty vehicle driving license, categories 3 and 4.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience with car carriers, flatbeds, low bed trailer trucks, and other heavy goods vehicles.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Basic skills in Arabic are preferred but not required.
