Internal Communications Manager

Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 (pro rata) pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 (pro rata) pa inclusive of London allowance

This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and is part time for 17.5 hours per week.
LSE’s Communication Division leads and coordinates internal and external communications for the university and offers communication advice, training and support. We aim to meet the needs and expectations of our diverse internal community and are committed to enhancing the experiences of students and staff.
The Internal Communications Manager will play a lead role in engaging internal audiences and advancing School strategic priorities. The post holder will deliver the internal communications strategy and have oversight for day-to-day communications. Working with teams across the School to develop and deliver creative communications campaigns, they will embed audience focused communication approaches and provide leadership within the busy Internal Communications team.
Candidates Will Have
• A demonstrable experience of producing high quality communications using a range of channels and tools, with a record of success in delivering effective communications and engagement activity
• Experience of working with diverse audiences to develop common ways of working and innovative ideas
• Excellent organisation and administrative skills with the ability to work effectively to deadlines, meet targets and achieve demonstrable results under pressure in fast developing situations.

This role is an opportunity for 12 months, on a 0.5 FTE basis, with the other 0.5 FTE of the role delivered by the current post holder. It is a blended role involving a mix of working on LSE’s campus and remotely as per LSE’s guidelines. Secondments from the internal LSE community are welcomed.
