Family Overview
• Single father with two children (15 and 10/11 years old)
• Role focused on the 15-year-old son
, permanently based in Dubai
• Father primarily based in Iran; visits Dubai regularly
• Son attends school in Dubai (8am–2pm, occasionally until 3pm)
• English is his first language; also speaks Farsi and conversational German
• Lives in a fully staffed household with gym and swimming pool
• Planned long-term placement; potentially caring for younger sibling in future
Role Overview

The family seeks a warm, proactive, and friendly live-in Governess/Companion to support, mentor, and positively engage their intelligent, sensitive, and lively 15-year-old. The ideal candidate will act more as a trusted companion than a traditional governess, while still establishing structure, routine, and healthy boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
• Accompany the child to and from school
• Organise and actively participate in hobbies, outings, sports, and exercise
• Provide companionship: games, conversation, and light engagement
• Accompany the teenager to appointments and extracurricular activities
• Encouraging routine, healthy habits, and screen time balance
• Support positive behaviour while maintaining a friendly, non-authoritarian presence
• Actively engage with the teenager while respecting his intelligence and independence
• Collaborate with father and household staff to provide cohesive support
Ideal Candidate
• Warm, friendly, active, and confident with teenagers
• Preferably fluent in English; culturally aware and adaptable
• Positive role model with a calm, supportive, and engaging approach
• Experienced with teenagers, ideally in nanny/governess roles
• Experience supporting ADHD or neurodivergence is essential
• Confident setting boundaries while maintaining a friendly, trust-based relationship
• Able to plan and implement routines for sleep, nutrition, and wellbeing
• Comfortable balancing fun, challenge, and structure; able to “play with” and motivate the teenager
• Long-term commitment desired; ideally until the child turns 18
Working Pattern
• Live-in support, providing 24/6 coverage (time off when child at school and sleeping)
• School hours: 8am-2pm (occasionally 3pm) weekdays
• Afternoons/evenings: plan activities, hobbies, sports, and structured engagement
• Weekends: one day working, one day off
• Occasional short-term travel may be requested in the future
