Job Title: Seasonal Driver Department: Warehouse

Position Overview:

The Seasonal Driver is an essential entry-level position at Amaranth, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of transfer products to our four locations in Calgary and St. Albert.

This role plays a vital part in supporting Amaranth’s vision to be the leader in creating a better way for us to eat, live, and thrive. By facilitating product transfers between our stores, the Seasonal Part-Time Driver helps maintain the seamless operations that allow our customers to enjoy fresh, high-quality products across all locations.

Priority Accountabilities:

These are the outcomes the team members are accountable for, as outlined in the accountability chart. These outcomes include but are not limited to:

● Safe driving: Operate a commercial vehicle with a rated capacity of 500 kg or more.

● Lasting Impression: Ensure you have positive impression through exceptional service, friendly interactions.

● Maintain Product: Ensure transfers are moved between stores and follow the weekly transfer schedule.

● In-Store Transfers: Assist with in-store transfer pulls on an as needed basis or in times of short staffing situations.

● Transfers: Deliver product throughout Calgary and between Calgary and St. Albert.

Secondary Accountabilities:

These accountabilities support the effective completion of the Priority Accountabilities:

· Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times.

Tactical Responsibilities:

These are the processes that the team member is responsible for executing:

● Verify and maintain product while transporting items.

● Communicate clearly with team members.

Qualifications and Attributes:

● Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to work in an unstructured work environment.

● Possess a flexible attitude in an ever-changing environment.

● Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

● Ability to follow instructions and store procedures accurately.

● Food Handling Safety certification is an asset.

Time Requirements:

● Part-time hourly position.

● Flexible working availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and shift coverage as needed.

● Entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break for shifts longer than 5 consecutive hours.

Basic Physical Requirements:

● Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.

● Ability to drive for extended periods of time.

● Walk, bend, twist, reach above and below shoulders.

● Use mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, carts, pallet jack, computers, and printers.

● Use ladders up to 12 feet in height.

● Ability to lift up to 50lbs maximum.

● Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures in coolers, freezers, and outdoors.
