Settlement Analyst

We are looking for an analytical accounting professional for a 6-month contract as a Settlement AnalystAgilus is recruiting for a Settlement Analyst in the Energy Industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. The Settlement Analyst will be responsible for small projects & growth deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with complex data in a fast-paced environment. Total rewards:$28.00 hourly6- month contractMonday to FridayHybrid work styleA typical day:Conduct investigations of discrepancies resulting from settlements and invoicing activitiesSet up wire requests/send for payment to customersWork with other analysts to ensure that their invoices and payments are properly reflected in the accounting systemMonitor receivable to ensure payments are received and are properly allocatedUpdate and maintain payment calendarSuccessful candidates will have:2+ years of experience in accounting or financeBachelor’s in accounting/finance is requiredUnderstand electricity pool settlement & ability to apply market knowledgeSolid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley controls, compliance procedures, regulatory impacts and internal policiesExcellent communication skillsDemonstrated ability to problem-solve and accountable to resolve issues & troubleshoot independentlyStrong Excel skills.
