Position summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible cover supervisors/teachers to join our school on an ad-hoc basis. The successful candidates will provide high-quality classroom teaching and supervision in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Key duties and responsibilities
• Deliver planned lessons provided by the class teacher.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment in line with school policies and safeguarding practices.
• Supervise students during lessons and, where required, in non-classroom settings (e.g., breaks, assemblies).
• Provide feedback to the class teacher or relevant staff following cover sessions.
• Demonstrate flexibility in covering different year groups and subject areas across the school.
• Uphold the ethos, values, and standards of the school at all times.

Person specification

Qualifications and experience
• A recognised degree qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Prior teaching experience within a primary or secondary school.
• Experience working in an international school environment.

Skills and attributes
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and resilience when working with different age groups and subjects.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Contract details
• This is an ad-hoc, non-salaried role.
• Engagement will be on a day-rate basis, as required by the school.
• No entitlement to benefits associated with full-time salaried positions.
