Job: Warehouse Hazardous Waste Technician

Pay: Starting at $22 per hour
Schedule: Includes Saturdays and possible overtime

What You’ll Do:

• Open and close waste collection sites on Saturdays

• Help customers unload waste from their cars

• Sort waste into different hazard types

• Test unknown waste to find out what it is

• Pour and combine waste liquids like oil or antifreeze

• Pack and label waste for transport

• Keep records of waste stored at the site

What You Need:

• Must be 18 or older

• Valid driver’s license

• Can lift up to 50 lbs

• Willing and able to wear safety gear (like gloves, masks, and suits)

• Experience using safety tools and equipment

• 40-hour HAZWOPER safety training certificate

• Able to work overtime and in different weather conditions

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety rules

• Basic chemistry knowledge

• Understanding of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations
