Job Description:

Seylan Bank PLC is looking for dynamic and target-oriented professionals to join our Liability Sales team in Colombo. The selected candidate will play a key role in driving the bank’s liability product portfolio, focusing on customer acquisition and relationship management to support the growth of deposits and other liability products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customers and promote the bank’s liability products, including savings accounts, current accounts, and fixed deposits.
  • Identify potential market segments and proactively generate leads through networking, referrals, and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual and corporate clients to ensure long-term engagement and retention.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate financial solutions aligned with their requirements.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new and existing customers.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments affecting liability products.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in sales or business development within the banking or financial services sector will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • A strong sales mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • Fluency in English and Sinhala or Tamil is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
