Mid-Level Legal Counsel Compliance (Contractual) On-site – Kandy
BAT Sri Lanka is looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Kandy on a 1-year contractual basis. This role will focus on ensuring legal compliance and supporting business operations within local laws and company policies.
What you’ll do:

Advise the business on legal and regulatory compliance

Manage litigation and assess legal risks
-
Handle contracts, intellectual property, licenses, and land matters

Support legal operations in manufacturing and sales compliance
-
Liaise with external legal counsel and assist in their selection
-
Partner with internal teams to ensure awareness of legal updates
What we’re looking for:

2–3 years’ experience in litigation and court procedure
-
Strong skills in legal research, drafting, and negotiation
-
Good understanding of commercial and regulatory law
-
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities
-
Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills
