Mid-Level Legal Counsel Contract Compliance Full-Time – Kandy

Ceylon Tobacco Company (BAT) is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Kandy team. You will provide legal advice, ensure compliance with local laws and BAT policies, and manage litigation and contract matters related to the tobacco business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on legal and regulatory compliance

• Manage litigation and provide risk assessments

• Oversee intellectual property, land, licenses, and contract management

• Support Senior Legal Counsel on legal issues

• Manage external legal counsel relationships

• Partner with business teams on legal updates

Requirements:

• 2-3 years’ experience in litigation and court procedures

• Strong drafting, research, and negotiation skills

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proactive, responsible, and eager to grow
